At the District meeting on July 20th, we discussed group records and had a report from our District Group Records Coordinator, Connie C. We received clarification on groups that currently have more than one meeting and those meetings are different formats, specifically one or more in-person or hybrid, and another meeting(s) that is electronic only (no in-person component). The Al-Anon Service Manual lays out on page 30 the process for one group registering multiple meetings – “They are one group that meets on two or more days at the same location.” The clarification that we recieved from WSO, our Area Group Records Coordinator, and our Delegate is that an electronic platform, such as Zoom, is considered its own unique location, distinct from an in-person location. So, if you are GR for a group that has multiple meetings that are not meeting in the same format (either electronic only or in-person/hybrid) please contact Connie C at [email protected] to discuss next steps.
